Crowder President’s Assistant lays it all out

By Jonnie Vue

What exactly do you do as the president’s assistant?

The most important job as the assistant is doing minutes.

What are minutes?

Record of the meetings and legal documents.

What’s the worst part of your job?

Doing minutes. Because it’s hard to keep up.

What’s the best part?

The people and coworkers are awesome. Benefits are good like sick leaves, vacation days. And also the supervisor works with me if I’m having trouble.

What do you like to do?

I like to read books, tv, camp, and travel.

What is your favourite kind of music?

Not rap. A variety of music. Easy listening kind of stuff.

Favourite music artist?

I don’t think I have one.

What is your favourite place in the world that you’ve been to?

I like rolling hills and mountains. So probably Colorado.

Is there anywhere you haven’t been that you want to go? Where?

Yes. Alaska because I’m not a beach person.

What is your favourite food?

I like Mexican food, ice cream, watermelon, and anything chocolate.

Favourite TV show?

I don’t have a favourite. I like anything on HGTV that has house makeovers on it. Right now I’m watching Call of the Midwife.

Favourite sport?

I don’t really have a favourite sport. Only when my husband requires it. Baseball was my favourite sport when my son was playing it.

How many animals do you have?

Four. Two cats, and two dogs.

Would you rather go forward twenty years or backwards twenty years?

Back twenty years. I’m already old and don’t want to be older.

Who was your role models growing up? Why?

My parents. I just thought they were the best people in the world. I learned a lot from them.

Where do you see yourself in ten years?

Probably getting ready to retire. Maybe more traveling with my husband and hopefully enjoying my grandchildren.

If you could go back in time. What would you tell your twenty year old self?

Don’t give into outside pressure, stick to the goals that you set out for yourself, and don’t stress about life that much. Don’t sweat about the little stuff.
