For a fine dining experience with authentic Mexican flavor, look no further than El Charro. Located at 3101 Lusk Dr. in Neosho, the restaurant is the perfect setting for social get-togethers such as a family dinner or lunch with a friend. The reasonable prices make it a must-stop spot for people wanting the experience of a sit-down restaurant without it draining their wallet.

El Charro offers a large menu of Mexican favorites, from burritos and nachos to quesadillas and enchiladas. They also have several lunch specials for those who have a tight budget, as well as a kids menu and meal combinations for only $6.99.

Upon entering the establishment, one takes note of the bright walls painted in vivid colors and the décor that helps give the place a touch of Old Mexico. The service is always friendly and the servers are very attentive and quick to refill drinks, making for a pleasant meal.

On my last visit, I decided to order something different than my usual vegetable fajitas. The Charro seafood platter, which consisted of mouthwatering marinated shrimp and a delicious smoked fish fillet, was the perfect choice. The platter also included lettuce, tomato, onions, guacamole and rice, and was served with warmed tortilla shells to build your own fajita. At $10.49 I can easily say the amount of food was well worth the money.

As for drinks, their menu consists of Coca-Cola products. For those who are over 21 however, El Charro does serve alcoholic beverages.

El Charro is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Monday-Thursday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Sunday. To view their menu, visit their website at http://www.elcharroneosho1.com.
