T he plot takes place in an era of wonder; the 1950s. This is relevant to the story because of course, Freak shows were a thing of wonder. It is a place where people who were labeled “different” ran away to because it was the only place that they felt accepted in. In this season of AHS, there are many people who feel ostracized because of their appearance or how they feel, or think. The dialogue used really helps understand how the characters are feeling, and it gave a sense of both sympathy and understanding. The structure was also extremely impressive, because all of the costumes fit the plot, and the graphics were very realistic, however, the plot is said to be in the 1950’s, and Jimmy Darling performed “Come as You Are” by Nirvana, which wasn’t produced until the early 1990s. The theme is about adapting and overcoming obstacles. Overall, it is a very well put together show, the actors all fit their parts to the T, and the director did an outstanding job of making the theme effective
