Lady ‘Riders embark on new season

The Lady ‘Riders begin their 2012-13 season on the road facing Independence on Fri., Nov. 2nd with tip-off at 5:30 p.m. in Chanute, KS.

“We have some new faces of course, but our style of play will be the same,” said Tina Robbins, Head Coach and Physical Education Instructor. “We will play an up tempo exciting style of basketball.”

The women have played a number of scrimmages prior to the start of this season which puts them at the first two games away and returning home to play game number three on their own court Tues., Nov. 6th.

“I’ve been very pleased with how we’ve played in our scrimmages thus far,” said Robbins. “We’ve played with great effort and shared the basketball really well. The scrimmages give us a chance to see what our strengths are and what areas we need to improve upon.”

The game begins at 6 p.m. against Seminole.with a tail gate party from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., hosted by Campus Life prior to the game.
