Culture-ICONSince 2008, Root Zero 3 has been serving a variety of American and Chinese food that leaves the customers satisfied. Located in Carthage on 604 W Fir Rd, Root Zero 3 is just across the road from the Precious Moments Hotel.

The main courses consist of popular American foods such as smoked ham, steaks, fish, fried chicken, and sausage. The sides also consist of popular American and Chinese food such as cashew chicken, fried okra, mashed potatoes, shrimps, and Chinese noodles.

There is also a small dessert bar, containing ice cream, cakes, cookies, and cobblers. And for those who are trying to eat healthy, there is a great variety on the salad and fruit bar.

Although I wasn’t too impressed with some of the seafood like the shrimp, overall I enjoyed Root Zero 3.

The atmosphere makes it very much a family-friendly restaurant. The waitresses are very polite and great about refilling drinks and clearing dirty plates when needed. Near each group of tables is a small aquarium for both children and adults alike to enjoy.

One thing I liked about the atmosphere was the way the seating area was divided. Each section uses a wall with a window, making it not as crowded or loud, while at the same time keeping patrons from feeling isolated from the world.

I would gladly suggest Root Zero 3 to anyone who is looking for a good buffet to enjoy while spending time with family and friends.

They are open from 11 a.m. – 8:30 p.m. on Mon. – Thurs. and Sat. – Sun., and 11 a.m. – 9:30 p.m. on Fri. The price is usually $10 per person, depending on age and time of service.
