Sam’s Cellar… a hidden hot spot

With its inviting atmosphere, tasteful food, and a fun secluded location, Sam’s Cellar is a prime location for anyone looking for a simple hangout spot.
Sam’s Cellar is located on the square at 101 N. Wood St. in Neosho and is open 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. every day but Sundays, when it is open 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. The restaurant is most popular for its wood-fired pizzas but also serves a number of other meals such as subs, salads and wraps.
When walking down the stairs to the cellar, all the exciting sights, smells and sounds become apparent. There are many TV screens hanging all over the restaurant showing music videos and sports programs. The restaurant has the faint musty smell that is expected of an old cellar, but there’s also the strong aroma of fresh made pizzas and other wood fired meals.
Overall, the restaurant was kept to a high standard of cleanliness and comfort. The staff were also held to a high standimg_4815ard of friendliness.
My group decided to try some of the popular pizzas that Sam’s Cellar is best known for and were pleased with our decision. Our meal arrived in a timely manner shortly after we ordered and was piping hot.
We tried both an Italian sausage and a pepperoni pizza, and both were delectable. The pizzas were fairly large and reasonably priced.
The food was tasteful, the prices reasonable, the staff polite, the restaurant clean and the atmosphere inviting. The location, hidden in a cellar right off the square, makes the restaurant unique and aptly named. If you’re looking for a hidden gem to have a nice meal, I would recommend trying Sam’s Cellar.
