Upcoming Events:

Sept. 21: The Agriculture Department will host a Veterans Dinner, Thursday, Sept. 21, 6pm on the Quad on the Neosho campus. All areas veterans are invited to attend. For more information call 417.455.5720.

Oct. 9: The 28th annual scholarship banquet will be held in the Bob Sneller Gymnasium. This annual event is hosted for Foundation scholarship recipients as well as donors. For more details, contact the Foundation office.

Now-Oct. 12: Crowder art instructor Joshua Knott will have an exhibit in the Longwell Museum, open from 9 a.m.–6:30 p.m. Mon-Fri. An artist’s reception will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Oct. 6.

Oct. 19-21: The Theatre Department will present “Dracula”, directed by Ben Davies at 7:30 p.m. each night. For details contact the Theatre department at 417-455-5458.

Now-Nov. 15: Raffle tickets are now available for a Honda Fit as part of the 15th annual Festival of Wreaths. The tickets are $50 each, and there are only 500 available. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Foundation office at 417-455-5646 or by visiting winahondafit.com.

Now-Dec. 2: The Crowder College Community Choir will have practice at 7 p.m. in Room 124 of the Elsie Plaster Center starting on Monday, Sept. 11. For more information contact Becky Shaw at 417.455.5634.

Crowder levels up apprenticeship program
After three years of work by our faculty, Crowder has achieved Registered Apprenticeship Sponsor status. Now that Crowder is recognized as a credible apprenticeship sponsor, students participating in one of the two programs, carpentry and electric, are more widely accredited and more likely to receive advancement opportunities in their field of choice, according to Crowder officials.

Empire partners with Crowder to go green
Crowder College and Empire District Electric co-signed an agreement to install an electric car charging station at its Neosho campus. Construction is complete and the two charging stations are located in the parking lot near McDonald Hall.

PBL students earn top honors at national conference
Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda students from Crowder College competed at the National Leadership Conference held in Anaheim, Calif. on June 24-27 where they were awarded 4th place overall. A few of the students placed individually in other categories and were able to attend academic workshops and keynote speeches as well.

Wellness Week scheduled Sept. 11-14

Campus Life will be hosting Wellness Week on Campus in an effort to improve overall wellbeing, health, and wellness at Crowder.
