I would like to say that I don’t do drugs, but my addiction to coffee is a very real thing. At least I don’t do illegal drugs, right? Caffeine is the drug, I just choose to have it in the form of coffee. Luckily, coffee is available nearly anywhere you go, from cafes to gas stations. The problem is, not all coffee is the same.

Many fellow coffee addicts will tell you that Starbucks is the only place to get good
coffee, but most of that drinks that are actually sold there are not just normal coffee, plus cream and sugar. If you’re wanting a Frappuccino or a macchiato, then that is the place to go.
I am seriously not with it in the mornings until I’ve either had coffee or have been awake longer than about five hours, so most of the time, I make a pit stop on my way to class in the mornings. If it’s warm outside, or borderline inferno as the summertime draws near, I prefer iced coffee to the scalding fresh brewed coffee.
There are several places that serve cold coffee, even Taco Bell does if you ask, but I think that my favorite place to get iced coffee is from Casey’s General Store. It’s not like a watered down version of coffee, it’s cold, creamy and delicious. They offer vanilla and mocha, but the kid in me still enjoys mixing flavors when it’s an option, so one day I tried half of both, mixed, and it was delicious. If you haven’t done this, I seriously recommend it.
If you’re on the go, and don’t have time to make the perfect mix (without coffee, definitely running late for life), the canned and bottled Starbucks is a close second. I prefer the Dark Chocolate Double Shot, delicious and highly caffeinated.
Finally, and probably my favorite, home brewed. From the comfort of your own home, and away from the judgment of how many creams and sugars you add, a fresh pot of coffee in the morning (or night, who am I to judge?) is one of the best things to have.
I have used a pre-set coffee maker as an alarm clock before, because simply the smell of coffee is enough to wake me up sometimes. My favorite brand of coffee grounds is Folgers, the Colombian blend. It is a bolder blend that really wakes me up. It is a little pricier than the rest of their blends, but so worth it. If you’re lacking the cash, Folgers is still a cheaper brand, and all coffee is delicious.
