Roughriders set new records

The men’s soccer team faced off against Ecclesia on their home field at 4 p.m. on Tues., Sept. 18.

“Most goals scored in a game and the largest margin of victory in a game,” said Brad Smith, Head Soccer Coach and P.E. Instructor.

By the start of the second half, Crowder was up 6-0. However, early in the second half, Ecclesia was able to score; the only goal the team was able to get on the ‘Riders until at 33:28 in the second half Crowder came back against Ecclesia putting the score at 7-1.

The men moved fast placing even more goals onto the board. With only 2:28 left on the clock, the ‘Riders scored their last goal finishing the game at 10-1.

“[It was] pretty easy,” said Ryan Schliem, #16 freshman forward from Harrisonville, MO. “ We’re going to keep working hard and get ready for our game on Thurs.”

Thurs., Sept. 20th the men face off against Coffeyville at home.
