This is how a door became my branding opportunity. FORMULANETIC was entirely an accident project. Back in July of 2022, I made a poor recording of a door made at 3 am with no clear direction in mind and thrown up on TikTok with backing audio from john Mulaney. By the time I woke up, it had reached 100k views which became my ticket. I rinsed and repeated this cycle collectively gaining about 1.5 million views and dubbed “Door Man” on TikTok. But I felt stuck. TikTok locked me in a cycle of making content revolving around this one door and if I did anything else it would not get pushed out. That was until I discovered YouTube Shorts. Back in September when shorts were getting their first major push, I had not given it much thought until I decided to make one. It got 5k views which wasn’t as much as I could get on TikTok, but it was consistent. From then on, I could upload one video a day with consistent view counts and create more general content and break into multiple niches at once. The story of my music behind the scenes:
A lot of people ask me how I make my music. Here is my secret: Simple, pen and a piece of paper. Many songs writer and artists write their songs based on real acts; every master has its own book! As usual, everyone has different ways of doing things. In my case, I can write a song by looking at the sky, walking in the dark, drinking a coffee in the morning or even when I’m sleeping! This last one is very rare, right? Well, I have written almost most of my songs using the last method. What happen with me is, my sleep is very light and anything can wake me up, so when an idea comes in my mind I let fluid while I sleep and then when I have 80 to 90% of the song memorized, then I wake up, take my phone and start writing all I can remember, which in most cases more than half of the song.
