Seth Cummins is a second-year college student, but it is his first year here at Crowder coming from Mineral College. Cummins is also on the soccer team here at Crowder. After a year at Mineral Area college, he decided to come to crowder where it was closer to home for him.

“The school wasn’t ran as well at MAC, and Crowder is home for me, so it was cheaper. I just felt like I should be back home.” Said Cummins.

Crowder College soccer team finished the regular season 5-9-1 under the new head coach, Mathew Wolf. Wolf in his first year got to coach Cummins on his first year here at crowder and enjoyed every thing he brought to the field.

“Absolutely, I’ve really enjoyed working with Seth because he’s proven to be a cultural leader for the program,” said Wolf. “He does a fantastic job of getting teammates involved outside of the field and classroom. “

“Cummins is not only a great leader and a teammate on the field as he is one off the field as well”, Wolf said. He would organize team activities and dinners, take guys to Joplin, and has volunteered to take guys to the Tulsa airport. Wolf also states that Cummins is one of the best performers he has seen in his 10 years in college athletics.

As stated, Cummins has yet to decide on if he wants to play soccer at the next level. “I have a few offers, but I think it’s time to be done with this level of soccer. I might coach, travel, or work. I’m not sure, but I’ll probably continue my education.”
