Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone is the movie adaptation of J.K. Rowling’s first book in the Harry Potter series. The 2001 film directed by Chris Columbus, and starring Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint and Alan Rickman is an absolute classic.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter has been bringing magic to the whole world for over 24 years.

Since the release of the first book back in the summer of 1997, the books would go on to become a global phenomenon. Four years later the first movie would follow.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the film, having come out in 2001, and it is still loved to this day.

Losing his parents at a young age, Harry Potter is left behind to live with his mean aunt and uncle, the Dursleys, along with their son, Dudley.

When Harry turns 11, he finds out that he is an orphan of two powerful wizards and is a wizard himself.

His life turns upside down as he goes from an unwanted child to the boy who lived, leaving London and his home behind to go to Hogwarts, the school of witchcraft and wizardry.

Here he will make several friends, Ron and Hermione who will become some of his closest allies and help him discover the truth about his parents’ deaths and who he really is.

Twenty years later and this film still holds up, even being the first film in the series, it is still such a fun and rewatchable movie. Start to finish, it is an enjoyable enchanting experience. Taking the audience on a magical journey into the wizarding world that’ll make you forget about the real life and make you want to stay and never go back to reality. Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone is a must watch for any fans of the books or anything magic!
