Jamie Ward, Vice President of student affairs, calls Wellness Week, “…great way for students to connect and try something new.” Crowder has celebrated Wellness Week for the sixth consecutive year.

During the week through Sept 13-16 in various spots of Crowder, students were expected to participate in multiple activities provided by their peers, Baptists Student Union (BSU), and advisors. Ward described the week in three words, “Fun, engaging, and resourceful.”

The events included puppies on campus, hula hoop classes, blood drive, BSU pie day, and many more events rolled into the four days of Wellness Week. The events involved student participation and interaction with each other.

Detailing about the events of Wellness Week, Mermeleen Suldan, a general studies major, calls the week, “…new and extremely exciting.” She also mentioned that Wellness Week is, “Something I would love to experience next year.”

As the advisor of the events during the week, Ward believes that this year’s Wellness Week has, “…improved and now students and staff can look forward to it.”

Wellness Week is a week where students can be introduced to stress relievers while eating food provided by the events holders. Among other colleges, Wellness Week is a popular event that can be provided to college students, whether they be Crowder enrolled or not.

Due to it being student oriented and friendly, Wellness Week provides a much warmer welcome for students during  their college careers.
