The Notebook is the greatest romance film of its time. This 2004 film, directed by Nick Cassavetes, is a movie that turned the hearts of everyone. A poor young man named Noah, played by Ryan Gosling, is passionately falling for a rich young women named Allie who is played by Rachel McAdams.

Noah shows Allie a sense of freedom as they are getting to really know each other; they end up separated due to a difference of social classes.

I am the type of person who absolutely loves romance movies and really finds herself in them. Each romance movie can show a person a different thing. The amazing thing that makes The Notebook stand out is that this movie is something that can capture the hearts of people all over the world.

I feel as though every woman can find herself relating to Allie being a woman who comes from a rich family, she does not want her family to define her. While at a vacation home in a new town for the summer, she struggles to find herself while still trying to make her parents proud.

You will find Noah to be the man to look up to although Noah is a low-class man who does not have much to offer. Like Allie, Noah does not let his social class to define him and his goals for the future. When meeting Allie at a town fair he put all his love on the line and worked up the courage to go after the most beautiful girl he had laid eyes on.

This movie eventually throws you a curveball when you find out that the couple is in a nursing home and Allie is losing her memory. Everything happening in the movie is, older Noah reading Allie the story of their love to try and help her remember who he is. The movie goes back and forth between the past and present from when they were younger to where they are now.

Watching this movie with friends and family I have watched it turn the hearts of everyone in the room. I personally really enjoyed how the movie did the bouncing back and forth from past to present. There is something about knowing that Noah is telling Allie this story in the nursing home that just makes this movie more heartfelt.

I would rate this movie a 10/10 if you are someone who enjoys romance movies, and if you do not enjoy those types of movies, I would still try it because I bet this movie will change your heart.
